1. All international parcels sent to South Korea must undergo import clearance in accordance with South Korean customs laws.
1.1. Responsibility for Customs Duties and Taxes
Under South Korea’s Customs Act and official Korea Customs Service rules, if the total value of a parcel arriving in South Korea exceeds the customs duty-free threshold (normally USD 150), customs authorities levy import duties and value-added tax (VAT) in accordance with the law. These duties and taxes are paid by the recipient. The applicable assessment is determined by South Korean customs authorities; please contact the Korea Customs Service for further details.
1.2. Allocation of Customs Clearance Responsibility
If customs clearance issues arise, or a parcel is returned or destroyed by customs, because the customer refuses to pay duties or provides a PCCC that does not match the recipient’s name, the customer bears all resulting round-trip shipping fees, disposal costs and related losses. If clearance issues or additional costs arise because of an error in our declaration information or another reason attributable to us, we bear those costs in full.
1.3. Refunds and Shipping Fees
If you refuse delivery because of customs duties and request a refund, we will process it after the goods are returned to our warehouse undamaged. Actual round-trip international transport fees and customs-related charges incurred because of your refusal to pay duties are not refundable.
